如何安排三年的生活
我是个爱作计划的人，实际上虽然研究生生活有三年，但是过起来N快，所以我觉得做好计
划是很必要的，必然有些人在这其中要打工，要出国，要考什么证书等，时间就更为宝贵
，所以计划还是尤其重要的。在三年中，要作的事情很多，比如发表论文，要经过几次审
稿，一般要1-2个月，到发表多的要6个月，所以要提前投稿，有些人等到答辩就太晚，这
只是个例子，其它还有很多事情要好好安排。
大致的安排如下：（个人情况不同）
第一学期：了解熟悉课题，学习课程
第二学期：查阅研究，确定课题，适当熟悉实验，学习课程
第三学期：开始研究，全面熟悉
第四学期：开始发表论文，主要实验阶段
第五学期：最后实验补充，发表研究论文
第六学期：写论文答辩
对于考试申请出国的同学我觉得要在做好自己课题的基础上，一是如果你连自己的课题都
作不好何以应付以后的研究呢？二是申请时候老板看见你有很多papers和好的研究背景希
望就更大一些。考GRE和考托福我blog里面也有一些资料主要还是到满分，太傻和gter去看
吧！原则上认为GRE先考，但是考好了千万不要大意，托福也不是好肯的骨头。如果按照我
上面的大致安排，应该是3-5学期比较忙，4最忙，所以考GRE和托福最好避开这些紧张的时
候。

研究生的生活说白了就是作课题，至少我们国家是这样的。那么导师和课题就是我们几年
生活的中心，可见其重要。那么如何选择导师和课题呢？好多师弟师妹在论坛里面问这个
问题，对于这个问题有很多看法，这里我发表一下自己的看法。
选择怎样的导师
考托福的时候写到一个作为supervisor应该具有哪些character才是理想的导师。当时还好
好想了想。说真的导师的选择要更据个人的目标和要求，好的boss和差的有天壤之别。有
些人认为，导师当然要牛，越牛越好，（以前我也觉得是这样）我不觉得完全对。对于一
些人想出国的，选牛的老师自然最理想，有好的老师推荐出国会容易许多，但是对于一些
想从老师身上学到东西的人，选择一个年轻的老师也是一个好的选择，年轻的老师一般精
力较多，带学生少，有些对学生很负责，可以在你身上用很多时间来指导，这样比半年见
不到的牛师要好得多！当然选导师不能只看这些啦！要看导师容不容易相处，导师的科研
经费是否充足，导师拥有的实验室设备条件如何，导师的科研方向和以前的成就，是否有
自己感兴趣的课题。反正对这些自己心中要有数，自己想得到什么，不要麻木的追求牛师
。还有有些牛师门下高徒很多，自然竞争激烈，在那样的实验室里面生活有些郁闷的，我
们学校就有，几个很活泼的人进了实验室连句话都不讲，只会作实验了！还有就是导师的
性格很重要，有些慷慨的老师对学生好，经济上也给予支持，作实验少仪器也乐于帮你解
决，要是你实验做的不好，他会为你担忧，就怕耽误你答辩。而有些老板比较抠，放假了
自己出去happy了学生害得拼死拼活的干活，而且赞扬的话也不会说，你的表现不好就会给
你脸色看，两种人手下干活，感觉就是两回事，所以这方面选前要研究研究！
硕士论文格式与要求 选择怎样的课题
这是一个值得考虑的问题。在目前的条件下要进行研究，有要有所成果，就要克服几个大
的困难，最大的阻力来自于设备和资金，这要求我们所选择的课题必需是有快捷简单经济
的测定方法和原料，所采用的技术对设备的要求不能太高等等。一句话就是要自己和实验
室有作这个课题的能力才选择来做，否则想也不要想！对于研究的深度和广度问题，国内
的大部分导师追求的是大而全的模式，有时候一个本科毕业课题也要作一整套工艺，这是
不合理的。我觉得理想的模式是能够把握实验中的创新点，进行深入的研究。而在枞向上
将研究的各方面考虑完全。实际上目前我们的研究模式在模仿的同时缺乏创新，同时对工
艺研究的同时没有注重理论和机理的研究分析。同时采用优良的实验设计方法和分析处理
方法极其重要。
课题分为纵向和横向，纵向课题一般为周期较长的课题，一般好多课题是省或者国家的项
目，需要很多人合作，前后有一定的继承性，要是不是刚刚开始着手，一般资料很多，而
且一个人研究只是其中易小部分。横向课题不同，周期比较短，常常是老板们接手的工厂
里面的项目，一般要求较快搞定可以到工厂用来挣钱的，以工艺性应用性的比较多。如果
将来还想搞科研，选择纵向课题我认为比较理想，可以学到易整套的研究操作。要是将来
想进入工厂或者到企业作研发，作横向的比较好，工厂就是要快、省钱、能挣钱。有些人
选择课题时，有两个误区。对于以前有人作过的就觉得没有意思，其实不然，作课题作科
研关键在于创新，只要你有闪光的地方就可以，还有前人也不一定成功呀！还有就是也许
前面的研究根本没有重复性，这一点在开始前要作一下，自己心理有数。此外就是对于没
有作过的新课题，不感作，其实没有必要，当然对于新课题是狠有挑战的事情，探索总不
会全部成功，但是不探索就没有成功的可能，国外研究证明一条不可行的路线也是一种成
功，而国内普遍认为是一种失败，所以很多人才畏惧探索和创新。这方面可以事前查阅外
文文献的有关研究，不要相信日本人的研究，重复性较差，我个人觉得美国和德国的研究
比较严谨，当然个别现象除外。要是别人有所得，我们也必须有理由相信自己的能力！
当然选择课题还有对目前研究热点的把握的问题，那么刚刚入学的或者开始着手实验的同
学如何来把握呢？我也没发现什么好的办法，一个就是到图书馆看看近两三年的文献，找
到一两个自己关心的觉得理想的主题在到网络上search一下，作了解性的研究。还有就是
看看自己的学校和其他学校相关专业近三年发表的文章，都是关于什么的，一般教授们选
择的课题都是适合我们国情（各种条件）有不是太落后的研究，至少国内如此。（当然和
老美比有些要落后10-20年）。
作课题的主要步骤和内容：开始老板给课题自己选或者自己找课题（自己找比较麻烦，最
好找好几个给老板或者有经验的人看），这其中要注意的问题就是自己的实验室有没有实
